A Simple Injection Became a Wound that Would Not Heal. Brenda had an injection in her heel to relieve pain caused by plantar fasciitis. Brenda was also getting a low-impact workout by swimming at the local YMCA because of her foot pain. Combining an open injection site and a public swimming pool caused an infection in Brenda’s injection site that almost took her foot. Brenda can’t say enough good things about the team at Patrick T.
