Senior Music Connection

Senior Music Connection connects seniors to music through music therapy, entertainment, live music, and performance opportunities. Our mission is to enrich the lives of older adults through enriching musical experiences. Studies have proven that the rhythm and melody of music positively affect the well-being of seniors, particularly those with Alzheimer’s or dementia. In addition to facilitating cognition and coordinating motor movements, music can modify mood and reduce stress-induced agitation. The healing powers of music provide seniors with enhanced awareness and concentration, heightened interest levels, memory and recall, and mobility and coordination. Patients receiving palliative care who engage in music therapy report significant reductions in pain, muscle tension, stress, anxiety, depression, and breathing difficulties. Senior Music Connection’s entertaining and engaging programs bring music and art to life. We aim to improve the quality of life of senior adults in areas such as socialization, self-esteem, and cognition.
