The comradery of the people (both residents and staff), the beautiful walkable surroundings, the greenery and trees. I enjoy my super-nice apartment and the quiet, country atmosphere.

When it is time to move to a Retirement Community you look for dedication and compassion from the complete staff. We have all of this and more! All of the employees make living here comfortable and secure.

I appreciate the friendliness and kindness of the residents as well as the approachableness of management. They will listen to suggestions and attempt to solve any issues that come up.

The security. Colonial Heights makes us compare living here with the TV series “The Village”, where they build the theme around helping each other and becoming a larger family. My husband likes the fact that we have beautiful grounds without him having to do yard work and I like not having to cook and clearn!

My parents moved to the Heights years ago and absolutely love everything and everyone that works there. Back when I was looking for a senior living facility for my parents, I was given some excellent advice from a mover that specialized in moving older couples. They told me when I walked in a facility pay no attention to the staff because they know you are an outsider and will sometimes act different since you are there. Instead, I was told to take note of the residents. Do they appear happy? Are they engaged? Is there conversations & laughter happening? If so, that tells you the staff does a great job and cares! What great advice! That was not the case in other facilities we looked at but at Colonial Heights & Gardens that is exactly what I found. I cannot say enough good things about the people that work at the building. From the Director, the marketing staff, the kitchen staff, the activities staff. the house keeping staff, the maintenance staff, the office personnel, etc. I am indebted to all of them. My advice to anyone that has loved ones that find it is time for them to move from their private home to a senior facility, is to definitely move them to Colonial Heights and Gardens.”
