Alzheimer's / Dementia Go Purple & Help Raise Awareness for Alzheimer’s 9/20/2018 | By Seniors Guide Staff National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month is just around the corner in November. In anticipation of this entire month when we honor the millions of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, the Seniors Guide is conducting a campaign to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease. Our funds for research in this growing illness plaguing millions (the number of those with Alzheimer’s is expected to triple by 2050!). But we need your help to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s … All you have to do is go purple! This could mean dressing from head to toe in your favorite shade of purple, coloring your hair or your dog’s fur violet or magenta, painting your face or your fingernails with lilac polish, hanging a grape-colored flag on your house or car antenna, or any other creative way you can think of. And then share a photo of how you go purple on Facebook, tagging “Seniors Guide” and using the hashtag #seniorsguidegoespurple. We want our readers to see nothing but purple as they scroll through our Facebook page in October as we raise awareness for Alzheimer’s. For every “go purple” photo you share on Facebook, we’ll donate $1* to the Alzheimer’s Association. So, tell your friends to join in the fun, too! Then in November, watch for the Seniors Guide’s website and the rest of our social media pages to go purple too! *Terms and Conditions May Apply Read More Seniors Guide Staff Seniors Guide has been addressing traditional topics and upcoming trends in the senior living industry since 1999.
