The Virginia Veterans Care Center is one of two Virginia state homes for veterans. The mission of our community is to provide high quality, assisted living, comprehensive nursing, short term rehabilitation, affordable care to our Virginia Veterans.
The Virginia Veterans Care Center has 224 beds and provides high quality care with on-site laboratory work, physical therapy, x-rays, podiatry care and several other ancillary health care services.
We are located just next door to the Salem VA Medical Center.
Nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Blue Ridge mountains, our Veterans have been served since our opening on Veterans Day in 1992. Our community offers many amenities to residents including wheelchair accessible nature trails and deck, library, barber shop, billiard room and chapel.
