At South Roanoke Nursing Home, we make your family our family! We have such a great and convenient location, just off Franklin Road in Roanoke.
Our community opened in 1964. At that time our goal was to provide the highest quality of nursing care. Even though much of our technology has changed, our goal has not.
South Roanoke is an independent nursing home facility. We are not part of a chain or managed by an out of state firm. We are a family business that is locally owned and operated.

Rehab Services
South Roanoke Nursing Home provides a variety of rehabilitation and therapy services, including physical therapy, speech therapy, as well as occupational therapy.
Our therapists work with you and your doctor to develop a plan that helps you reach your goals. In addition to rehabilitation services provided by our registered therapists, we have a very active group exercise and activity program you are sure to enjoy.
Daily rehabilitation services usually allow us to bill Medicare for guests staying up to 100 days.
In addition to rehabilitation services, skilled care refers to care that must be provided by a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. These individuals are on duty 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
In addition, South Roanoke Nursing Home’s team of Certified Nursing Assistants are well-trained to provide the quality of care you should expect. Some examples of skilled care would be tube feeding, injections, or a complex condition that would require careful and continuous monitoring by a trained nurse.
Note: Medicare usually pays for skilled care up to a maximum of 100 days at a nursing home in Roanoke, Va.
Long Term Care
South Roanoke Nursing Home excels in providing long term care, and we have been doing so since 1964.
Our Certified Nursing Assistants have permanent assignments. Staff develops a relationship with the residents that allows them to learn exactly what level of assistance is needed with the activities of daily living. This provides a high level of comfort and security to the residents and their families.

Respite
