Recipe: Pork and Chicken Marinade

Enjoy the following pork and chicken marinade recipe, shared by executive chefs at some of the area’s finest senior living communities.

PORK & CHICKEN MARINADE

Great for pork chops and grilled or baked chicken.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 cup blended oil
  • 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup lemon juice
  • 1⁄4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1⁄2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1⁄4 cup chopped garlic
  • 3 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • About 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Whisk all ingredients briskly. Marinate chops 3-4 at a time (at least 8 hours overnight).

*pork chicken marinade can be reused – refrigerate leftover
